CareWest's purpose is very clear: Enabling people of regional Australia to live their best lives.  CareWest’s Values guide the way we conduct ourselves. This includes how we interact with our clients, community and business partners and how we treat each other.

1984 - CareWest was established as the Orange Community Resource Centre (OCRO) by a group of socially active Orange residents during a climate of uncertainty about the future direction of community services in their local community. For the first 10 years the organisation served as a vehicle for community development activities, working with all levels of Government and other community groups to identify community needs and attract and arrange funding and other resources. OCRO then provided corporate and administrative support to the resultant programs and services which operated relatively independently.

All finance enquiries can be made Monday-Friday between 8.30am-5.00pm by phoning 02 6391 2400. CareWest's Finance Department is led by a Finance Manager and a team of qualified Accountants and Finance Officers located across CareWest's regional geographic footprint.

The Board of Directors of CareWest advise that there has been a change of financial auditor for the 2015/16 financial year. Crowe Horwath (Aust) Pty Ltd has been replaced by Cutcher & Neale Assurance Pty Limited. The appointment of Cutcher & Neale was unanimously agreed by the Board of Directors after a competitive tender process. They have extensive experience in the NDIS trial area of the Hunter Region and will add valuable insight as our sector undergoes significant reform in both the Aged and Disability business units over the next 3 years. CareWest appreciates the important role Crowe Horwath (Aust) Pty Ltd has undertaken as financial auditor over the past 15 years.
